High Tech in 1930
It's easy to mock this film from the Thirties on how to use a telephone but it hits all of the essentials. . .and haven't you see instruction videos that didn't?

Boy did that bring me back! No - I don't come from that far back - but I do remember rotary dial phones and numbers that had "neighborhood" designations - ie not all numbers but started off with 2 letters. I remember that I lived in "Hyacinth" - so my phone number started off as "HY5-XXXX" I seem to also remember that when you dialed long distance, you had to ask for an operator....

I know what you mean. I can still remember the "Crestwood" designation (CR) before our number and how it was a step up when we got a private line.
