Sweet lord is this ever true. I have been studying a lot of history, and particularly the enlightenment. That was supposed to be a new start where men would no longer kill other men over religion. Instead, we got men killing other men, women, and children for other reasons.
The moral of the story, there is no new thing under the sun, men will always be men, and no amount of rationalism will ever change anything.
