One of my Army memories: Hearing an officer describe how, if anti-war protestors abandoned their cars on the bridges into Washington, DC, large cranes would be used to drop the cars into the Potomac. ["Hey Dad, you know how I took the car to the protest? Well, I left it on the bridge and ...."]
