Hot and Cold Times

Some jobs, such as those of assembly-line workers, have mandated periods of productivity. For many of us, however, there is a great deal of discretion as to when we'll be most productive. We tend to work in bursts and my question is this:

At what time of the day are you most productive?

My own times of highest productivity are early morning, late morning, and early to mid-evening.

My most productive times are early morning - and especially if I can hit my desk before all the email traffic starts. I do my best writing fresh out of bed, sitting in my robe, with a single desk lamp and a fresh glass of OJ! This is obviously at home - wouldn't go over well in the office...

Jeff,

There is something about that nice quiet time before the day starts to get weird.

Early morning and late evening. I try to schedule meetings (necessary evil) in afternoons so they don't cut into my productive time.

Meetings in the afternoon!?
Yes!
Best way to kill two birds; post-lunch siesta time and associates' bloviating time.
