A list of the 100 highest-grossing independent restaurants in the United States . . . and I have not been to one!
Of course, the last time I was in San Francisco it was possible to compile a small list of my favorite local restaurants that had closed. Time does that to many fine restaurants and there is also a trendiness factor. Remember the once-famous Sans Souci in Washington, DC?
