Music Argument Break: Top 10 Rock Albums

Cultural Offering has given us a bold and thought-provoking list of the 10 greatest rock albums.

Some other contenders for consideration: Layla by Derek and the Dominos; Mr. Tambourine Man by The Byrds; and Stranger in Town by Bob Seger.

Not to mention the hard rock tunes of Wayne Newton.

I've thought about the D and Ds album too. Layla has to be in the top 10 of any great song list.

I think it's a contender for greatest of all rock songs.

Nothing from:
The Band
Neil Young
The Clash
The Dead
Frank Zappa
Bob Dylan
David Bowie (Not a fan, but grudgingly an admirer)

AC/DC?
Eagles?
Tom Petty?
ALl o.k. but certainly not Top 10 in last 40+ years.

Well, Mr. Eclecticity's list is certainly subjective if not accurate.

Sorry!
My reference should have been to Mr. Cultural Offerings, not Mr. Electicity.

Apologies proffered.

I proudly stand by the list. And you gotta admit, it made you think about the greatest rock albums you have ever heard. Even the comments have reminded me of Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, Slowhand, and The Freewheein' Bob Dylan. Long live rock - The Who.
