Media Objectivity Update

Biden could shout on "Meet the Press," "Get these squirrels off of me!" and the collective response would be, "There goes Joe again." But if Palin flubs the name of the deputy agriculture minister of Kyrgyzstan, the media will blow their whistles saying she's unprepared for the job.

There's an old adage, "Never believe or remember anything someone tells you at a wedding or a funeral." Both events are packed to the gills with queasy and conflicting emotions. A person says things at both events that they immediately regret; extreme sadness/joy does funny things with one's tongue. The brain is out to lunch.
I'd throw political campaign speeches/interviews/debates into that saying as well.

As a de-stenchifier for the political stuff I click over to FactCheck.org as often as necessary. Neither side is favored or vilified there
